Refund Policy

All sales final except provider-caused failures. Credits are non-forfeitable, transferable, and expire in 12 months with preservation hierarchy.

Effective 2 August 2026Version 1.0Billing Credits / INR

1. Overview

Codexvert operates a no-cash-refund policy for change of mind, non-use, or voluntary cancellation. All purchases are final. This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Exceptions exist where mandatory law requires a refund or where Codexvert fails to provision a paid service or causes total data loss as defined in the Terms and the Service Level Agreement.

No cash refunds – except provider failureOnce an order is placed and paid, the transaction is final and non-refundable except where Codexvert fails to provision within the SLA target (48 hours for nested addons, 24 hours for VPS) or causes catastrophic total data loss, in which case the remedy defined in Section 4 applies.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all products: Nested Virtualization Enabled Shared VPS (including Performance Unlock addon), Minecraft / Game Hosting, Mail Hosting, cPanel, Web Hosting, renewals, setup fees, IP addons, and overages.

3. Non-Refundable Items and Exceptions

  • All subscription fees regardless of unused time remaining are non-refundable.
  • The Nested Virtualization addon and Performance Unlock addon are non-refundable once implementation has been completed. Where implementation has not been completed within 14 days of a complete authenticated request despite customer compliance, the customer may choose a 100% account credit refund or a pro-rata cash refund required by mandatory consumer law.
  • Renewals already processed, setup fees, IP addons, overage charges are non-refundable.

4. The Only Remedy – Account Credits with 12-Month Expiry, Transferable, Non-Forfeitable

The compensation offered is account credits, granted as follows:

  • SLA credits where the SLA credit formula is met.
  • Goodwill credits at our sole discretion.

Credit Properties (Version 1.0 Patched):

  • Non-Forfeitable: Credits are not forfeited on standard billing-induced termination or voluntary cancellation; they remain until expiry.
  • Transferable: Credits may be transferred between accounts owned by the same legal entity or same natural person via authenticated Paymenter ticket. Transfer is blocked if the source account has been subject to an active Critical abuse investigation (CSAM, phishing, malware C2, mining) within the last 7 days, until investigation is closed.
  • 24-Hour Post-Closure Transfer Window: Credits may be transferred up to 24 hours after you submit a closure request. After this window, untransferred credits remain subject to 12-month expiry, not immediate forfeiture.
  • 12-Month Expiry: Credits expire 12 months from grant date. Expiry warnings are sent via email and client area at 30 days, 7 days, and 24 hours before expiry.
  • Catastrophic Loss: Where total data loss is caused solely by Codexvert infrastructure failure, you may elect, at your option, either a cash refund equivalent to 6 months of service fees or account credits equivalent to 12 months. Credits granted under this exception are not forfeitable on closure for 60 days to allow election.

5. Chargebacks and Preservation Hierarchy

Disputed transactions are handled under the Terms of Service suspension and termination provisions. If credit balance is insufficient due to chargeback, service is suspended immediately with termination within 7 days; you may unsuspend by paying invoice before termination. Where the underlying service had a Critical abuse flag within the last 30 days, termination is automatically escalated to a 90-day evidence hold pursuant to the preservation hierarchy defined in the Terms. Chargebacks cannot be used to delete forensic evidence.

6. Cancellation, Unsuspension, and Data

Cancellation takes effect at end of current paid period. Upon insufficient credits, immediate suspension occurs, termination within 7 days. You may unsuspend by paying invoice before termination. Client area billing access remains available during suspension. Data is retained 7 days after termination and then deleted unless preservation hierarchy applies: court or law enforcement preservation under IT Act §67C / CrPC / BNSS / POCSO of 90 to 180 days pauses deletion, followed by Critical abuse hold of 90 days minimum, followed by DPDP erasure requests, followed by standard 7-day deletion.

7. Statutory Rights

Nothing limits rights under applicable consumer-protection or mandatory law that cannot be waived. Where such right applies, we honor it to extent required by law.

Built for the infrastructure behind your ideas.
